Welcome to all_things_gatecon!


Some key informational bits for all:



~ Rules ~

1. Standard: Same as those that apply on the Y!Group (and pretty much anywhere else) - behave like adults and you'll be treated like adults.


2. Family-friendly: This group is public and not tagged for adult content, therefore it is openly viewable by anyone wandering by. The posts and comments should reflect that.


3. Posting: only members can post (this is a spam-preventative measure), but anyone can comment!


4. OpenID: You do not need a Dreamwidth account in order to comment; you can use OpenID! For more information on OpenID, see the FAQ here.


5. Anonymous: We're screening anonymous comments (they'll have a CAPTCHA as well) for the same reason only members can post - spam. If you register your OpenID (confirm your e-mail addy), you won't be considered anonymous and your comments will post without the CAPTCHA or screening.


6. Codes: Please do not request Dreamwidth codes here. There is an official comm for that sort of thing - dw_codesharing.


7. HAVE FUN!

~ Tagging Posts ~

• Tagging posts isn't strictly necessary, but it does help locate things later.


• Only Administrators can add new tags. At first, the Mods/Admins will tag the posts until we get a good set of tags in place.


• If there is a tag that matches your post, feel free to add it via the 'Tags' field.


• If there is not a tag to fit your post, let the Mods/Admins know and we'll add one.


• The tags are going to stay pretty generic and all-encompassing to keep the numbers manageable.
